The second ever Whisky Skull split online tasting was an all Speyside affair, with everything being well received, even the supermarket marker Tamnavulin.
The winner on the night was hotly contested between the Benrinnes, Braeval and Glenglassaugh. I personally voted for the Benrinnes. Rounded and buttery with a meaty edge.
Why did I name the site, tastings and my socials Whisky Skull you may ask? I am a teacher by day. Enjoying whisky is a non stop learning process. Not that we cannot stop, rather the learning is endless. While I am a teacher I don’t need reminding about the day job – so I have always called school, skull privately. Plus when I doodled the logo it looked cool, so.
